Introduction


Galileo Galilei was born on 15th of February, 1564 and he was a italian astronomer, scientist and a philosopher. He was a smart an intelligent man who did many experiments that proved many of his ideas.Galileo wrote a book called Two Chief Systems of the World in which he wrote that the planets revolve around the sun, not that everything else revolves around the Earth. Galileo proved that Capernicus because he notice that Jupiter had "Four little moons." Many people became very angry with him for he had challenged the long stood beliefs of Aristotle. Later on he confirmed that Venus had phases by using his telescope. He also discovered important information about sunspots. Galileo made a telescope to study the moon and to take notes. he got arrested by the rest of his life in a house arrested because the Pope Urban VIII did not believe the theories and discoveries of Galileo regarding that Earth was not the center of the universe. Even though he got arrested he still observed his discoveries by using his telescope. Later on he wrote his second book called Two New Sciences. He died on January 8th of 1642 at the age of 77 years old by suffering his heart pulpitations and went completely blind from a bad operation.
